Annie Skrupky
Clinical Director
With more than 15 years of experience in the field of addiction treatment, Annie Skrupky, LPC, SAC, ICS, is a seasoned clinician and dedicated leader committed to advancing high-quality, compassionate care. Her professional background spans outpatient services, work within the Department of Corrections, and—most extensively—residential treatment at Nova Counseling Services. She joined Nova in 2011 as a primary clinician, serving in that role for a decade before assuming the position of Clinical Director in December 2021.
As Clinical Director, Annie provides leadership that is both strategic and deeply grounded in clinical practice. Her multi-faceted role includes program development, administrative oversight, and direct client care, along with clinical supervision and support for the treatment team. She is dedicated to empowering clinicians, strengthening program integrity, and ensuring that evidence-based practices are consistently integrated into client services.
Her clinical work is guided by a commitment to hold space for the profound pain and suffering individuals and families often carry into treatment, while also fostering hope, resilience, and healing. She utilizes evidence-based approaches including cognitive-behavioral interventions, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. She has specialized training and a strong personal interest in experiential modalities, recognizing their powerful impact in facilitating insight, connection, and transformation. At the heart of her practice is a belief in the healing power of connection—both within the therapeutic relationship and through the ongoing support, structure, and accountability that sustain long-term recovery. Annie remains devoted to helping clients rediscover their strengths, restore their sense of agency, and build meaningful lives in recovery.
